Integration through Education
The international project putting together partners bringing wide range of expertise (NGOs providing counselling to families from Poland and Austria and higher education institution from the Czech Republic and United Kingdom) strives to increase the effectiveness of social work with families at risk of social exclusion. In the last few years, family assistants have proved to be a powerful tool in supporting families in difficult situation or at risk. Such a specific field of activity should be managed by a highly qualified employee with broad knowledge from the field of sociology, pedagogy, social pedagogy and psychology as well as law and most of all an excellent knowledge of principles of social work. The project aims to share good practices in the filed across partner countries and develop tools and methods of family assistantship, pilot them and put them into daily practice. Emphasis will be placed on motivation, planning and case management.
