Department of Primary Pedagogy is consider of two parts; first part is prepare the study programs for first grade of primary school and second part is prepare the study programs for pre-school teachers. Department provides teaching pedagogy and applied disciplines and provides graduates with a comprehensive overview of the upbringing and education of children of preschool and school age.
The Department coordinates the practical training of students involved in the organization and implementation of pedagogical practice.

doc. Mgr. Jiří Havel, Ph.D.
Graduate: Faculty of Education MU in Brno, field of study: Primary School Teacher Training (Sports).
Doctoral thesis focused on Cooperative Teachers‘ Role in studying for primary teachers, was conferred in 2005.
Range of interest: methods and forms in education of initial reading and writing, pedagogical practises, didactics of elementary teaching (author of Textbook – Reading-Book for 1. class of Primary School).
Research: inclusion at primary school, elementary reading and writing in primary school.
PhDr. Zora Syslová, Ph.D.
Graduate: Faculty of Education of Charles University in Prague; field of study: Preprimary education; School management;
Range of interest: self-evaluation in kindergarden; reflective practise of students of preschool education; teacher’s competences; professionalization of preschool teacher;
Research: self-evaluation in kindergarten; reflective skills of preschool teacher.
doc. Mgr. Jana Kratochvílová, Ph.D.
Graduate: Faculty of Education UP Olomouc, field of study: Primary education. Doctoral thesis focused on Project Teaching and Teachers´ Training Was Conferred in 2005. She awarded a degree of associate professor in 2014 with thesis Inclusion in Primary Education. She also works as a teacher trainer.
Range of interest: pupil assessment and self-assessment, school evaluation, educational diagnostic (assessment), inclusion, project teaching, school and classroom management, developing teachers’ competency through their work placement.
Research: She is involved in various research projects and publications in the areas of: inclusion at primary school, assessment and self-assessment and enquiry project teaching. She completed a six year research project about inclusion in 2013.
Mgr. Veronika Rodová Ph.D.
Graduate: Faculty of Philosophy MU Brno, fields of study History – Archives and specialization of Drama Education. Doctoral thesis focused on The Educational Potential of Thematic Cooperative Education Programmes in the Context of Didactics of History and in 2012.
Range of interest: drama education.
